DUI Evaluation
Illinois DUI evaluations gather relevant alcohol and drug use information, driving history, and other required information to determine public-safety risk and make an appropriate recommendation for intervention, treatment, or both.
Evaluation process may include
- Clinical interview and substance-use history
- Review of required DUI and driving documents
- Approved objective testing when required
- Risk classification and service recommendation
- Completion reporting and documentation for the appropriate referring authority
DUI Risk Education
DUI Risk Education addresses how alcohol and other drug use affects driving ability and helps clients examine the personal consequences and risks associated with impaired driving.
Risk Education focuses on
- Effects of alcohol and drugs on driving performance
- Decision-making and risk awareness
- Personal consequences of substance-related driving behavior
- Strategies to reduce future impaired-driving risk
- Referral for Early Intervention or treatment when additional services are indicated
